This face moves me a lot and it is undoubtedly linked to my own relationship to passing time and the notion of transmission.
I am sensitive to this face shaped by time, its deep gaze which has lived, its skin weathered by the sun and its pretty wrinkles which tell the experience of a life far beyond what is simply given to see in a portrait.
And even if it may seem stupid, I feel like I shared a little bit of his story while painting him
